The Registration process is as follows:

1. Follow the Group Sign-up Link and click "New User" to create a new volunteer profile and click "Submit" (repeat volunteers can simply log in)
2. Read project details and click "Register" to confirm participation
3. You will then receive a confirmation email and a reminder one week before the project

City Harvest depends on volunteers like you to honor their commitments to each project. This is the only way we can ensure that the food both expected and needed by the food pantries and soup kitchens we serve will be received as planned. We kindly ask that all volunteers complete the required registration in the Volunteer Portal two weeks before your project date.

Description of Duties: Volunteers will be stationed at 3-4 market tables, each supplied with thousands of pounds of fresh produce that they will help distribute to eligible market-goers. Volunteers will help to stock stations with produce boxes and guide clients through the market. Additional tasks may include helping set up market tables and tents, sorting and repacking food items, breaking down produce boxes, line management, and putting market tables and tents away at the close of market. The ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs. is helpful during the market, but do not hesitate to inform your fellow volunteers if you are unable to assist with lifting boxes of food items for any reason. Note: All food is distributed free of charge.
