How long have you lived in NYC? 17 years, since graduating from Illinois!

Why did you decide to move to NYC? I had always wanted to live in a big city and thought I should try something new while I was young and unencumbered

What is your favorite part about living in NYC? I love the diversity. You meet so many types of people from all over the world, in so many different careers from opera singers ferry drivers. And of course, delicious food.

What is your best UIUC memory? My senior year of college was the year Illinois went to the national championship game. We were driving home from spring break during the Arizona game and stopped at some completely random restaurant along the way to watch. Towards the end of the game, when the great comeback was happening, all the staff and other patrons had joined us and were helping cheer us on to victory!

Why are you on the Metro NYC Illini board? When I first moved to NYC I knew very few people, the alumni club gave me an opportunity to meet new people and maintain a connection to the great experience at had at Illinois, and I want to help enable that for others as well.
